[ rhetoric within the web coverage ]
The rhetorical
dimension of the debate on the Web tackles the question “do we know how killed
Kennedy”, why does the question still exist (or persist as some would argue)?
The coverage encompasses sites that focus on presentation, others that
privilege the instrument of knowledge generally the coverage hopes to achieve
both.
The
knowledge construct that permeates the web coverage involves the integration of
archival, indexical, database and narrative or metanarrative elements. Zones of
knowledge are particularly pertinent in relation to the JFK assassination.
Knowledge is the foundation for content and access. There is assumed knowledge
and assumed unknowing on this topic. The Web covers both interrogative and
interrogative elements of historical research. Both elements are realised in
the Web’s active recruitment of users to contribute to the construction of knowledge.
Sites present the tools for knowledge making, influencing, sharing and
dramatisation.
