McAdams does not invite collaboration rather he aggressively pursues additions to his metanarrative at his discretion. The moderated nature of McAdams’ newsgroup belies the openness of this forum. There is a report of a newsgroup user being prevented fro posting as his view was based on “factoid” according to McAdams and banned. This poster’s view was rejected, the possibility of posting in the interest of debate was also denied as it clashed with McAdams’ notion of acceptable posting material. The banality of this sort of behaviour is broached in the aforementioned report. Considering these factors, McAdams seems obsessive about controlling his narrative and is not open to creating a collaborative or writable site.
