Research and Publications

Paul Redding works predominantly on German idealism, and the relations between continental idealism, and the pragmatist and analytic traditions in twentieth-century philosophy.

His publications include Hegel's Hermeneutics (Cornell University Press, 1996) and The Logic of Affect (Cornell University Press & Melbourne University Press, 1999), and Analytic Philosophy and the Return of Hegelian Thought, (Cambridge University Press, 2007).

He is currently working on the role of negation in the logic in both Kant and Hegel, and the aesthetic model of judgment within the idealist tradition.
